Red Jockey Wheels
I was wondering, how much faster will red jockey wheels make me go? I bought red spark plug wires for my car, it got 50 more HP and is way faster. Also, is red faster than yellow? Asking for a friend.......

One time I was at the local bike shop and a guy was picking up his Trek Madone. I remember because he really wanted people to know that was his bike... Anyway, he asked the mechanic if it was guaranteed to be 2 mph faster now. The mechanic replied, "Oh, definitely, maybe more, depends on how determined you are."

Make sure you pay at least $500 for your Jockey Wheels. Don't go with cheap knockoffs.

Red jockey wheels are so much faster that if you put them on a red bike with red ano rims, you will ride straight through into the day after tomorrow.

I have some Bullseye red anodized aluminum pulleys. Not bad but noisy. I switched to inexpensive Tacx sealed bearing pulleys, plain ol' Delrin, quieter and really helped reduce some annoying drivetrain friction in my old Suntour RD with sintered bearings. Those things were terrible compared with Shimano Centeron.
I guarantee, after Ronan McLaughlin's recent Everesting record, more people are gonna take a serious look at those oversized pulleys. Although I suspect the real key, besides his engine, was the terrain and climate.

A quandary - while noticably faster with red jockey wheels, my Raleigh Pro is, in practice, slower. The issue is being constantly stopped by fit and fine looking women who notice the red spinners and want more information (about the bike and the RD, not about me). Long conversations in the cool shade, lustful looks and moans of delight.

I can't believe it. I thought I was just out of shape, but my lack of speed is because I foolishly run my bike with blue anodized rims, instead of red. Can you de-anodize an alloy rim?

Having started this thread, I will now admit that I have a set of red jockey wheels I found years ago. They are on Deore long cage rear for goofy bike fitted out with Rat Fink seat, Rat Fink decal for head badge, Iron Cross platform pedals and tall flag mast with a flaming eyeball on the end. I used to ride it to hot rod shows and it really cracked folks up. Great fun, really dumb, but great fun.
