You got it!

Serial number indicates Japanese manufacture from May, 1984 . And it is Cyclone Mk II. Everything is just as I suspected, even though the seller posted a non-drive photo.

Enjoy your new acquisition.

Bianchis don't have to be Celeste to be beautiful. Ride it in good health

Bikes: A bunch of old bikes and a few new ones

That tubing on the bike (Ishiwata 022) is very high quality as are the components. I can't make out the brakes or the hubs but the rims, crank, and derailleurs are all very good quality. This is a fine bike.

The frame is not actually a full Ishiwata 022 set. The down tube and chain stays are heavier gauge Ishiwata 024. Bianchi called the configuration Super Set and it was an attempt to increase lateral bottom bracket stiffness. It was part of the mid-1980s trend to address this concern, which also introduced triple butted tubing (Ishiwata and Miyata) and splined tubing (Columbus and Miyata) as solutions. Super Set was also cost effective, as it eliminated the need to convert to heavier gauge tubing on larger frame sizes for heavier cyclists.

Oh my, I am celeste with envy. The bike appears to be in great shape and the chrome socks add extra bling that put this one a cut above any of the Bianchis that have come my way. Nice bike!

Always good to see a fellow vintage Bianchi rider. Mine has become my go-to and going through upgrades as we speak.
Enjoy, it's a blast.

This seems to be like the US market Limited that was a popular bike here.

My neighbor has that exact Bianchi model with a rolls saddle he purchased new back in the day... He was mentioning selling it for 300 cdn.. I pumped up its tires and after he took it for a spin he decided to keep it.. It is a very pretty, well built and decently appointed bike.. Congrats on yours..

That's beautiful! Congrats!

It's a departure from many of the signature Bianchi elements (celeste, Italian made, Italian parts, etc.) but in all the right ways! As much as I adhere to the dogma that Biachis, and only Bianchis, should be celeste, I really love that shade of blue. And, of course, those derailleurs are excellent. Are the brakes also Cyclone?

The tubeset on my '83 Sequoia was selected with that philosophy in mind (at least for the downtube), and I don't know if that's the magic ingredient but it has an excellent ride quality.
