Is MBK, Motobecane?

Found this little guy on EBay France. Very tempting as a gravel grinder...has the canti-bosses and looks like lots of clearance. Miche BB. A bit of a tall one.

Don't think it is French made...maybe sourced from Taiwan or something? Can't find much about it.

From Motobecane's Wikipedia page:

"In 1981, the original Motobécane filed for bankruptcy and was purchased by Yamaha and reformed in 1984 as MBK. The French company continues to make motorscooters. They also made fingerbar mowers[clarification needed] at least up to 1981."

I saw that, but I was wondering more about the nuts and bolts (where they tended to be made, tubing used, did it change threading with sourced country, etc...)

I dunno. If I were looking to build a vintage gravel bike, I'd either go 650b with a road bike or do a drop bar conversion on a quality mountain bike.

Probably both smarter avenues, but I was drawn to this guy for some reason...

Never thought I would find any information about the MBK, but I started cleaning and touching (serious touchup) up the paint and tried again to find some information. Oddly, found a thread with a very similar one.

The top tube has an eccenttric oval round twist oval profile with a channel for the brake cable underneath the top tube.
The down tube begins oval at the head tube then rounds out, then to an oval at the BB. The seat tube is largely round until the bottom.
