Buckles...

Does anyone recognize these pedal strap buckles? Not sure where I got them but thinking but, having never run across another set, if they are worth anything?

those are pretty cool. they can be "re-strapped" A saddle maker might be able to do them.

not sure if they are worth any great amount. It's a pretty thin market to try and get comps.

Actually, the monetary value is not really important. The see a leather guy (shoe repair shop) is a good idea and there is still one left in Thunder Bay. That said, I plane to install them on my one and only wall hanger once I get some red leather straps...

Thank you for the information. Armed with that, I can now make out the symbol. The funny thing is, just two days ago, I gave away some leather, thick and just what I would have needed to make my own straps. Sigh!

Ha, no, don't look at me! The stuff I use is way thicker and I rarely have long strips of it anyway. What you want is this:

Get some Angelus leather paint with that,

https://tandyleather.com/collections...leather-paints

and some rivets,

and you're in business.

Thanks for the advice. At the moment, I have a belt, natural leather color and intend to cut strips from it. Red dye ??? Not sure where to get that where I live but natural leather will work with the Brooks saddle for now.

Doh! Sorry, I was really just spitballin, I know your leather is the saddle stuff but figured you might dabble in other. ;)

I knew you would have a workaround too. :)

I picked up some scrap leather strapping from a Tack and Saddle/western wear outlet, to restrap some old clips.
