Reliance Bicycle?

I came across a bicycle called "The Reliance" Made in England. It has a Sturmey Archer AW hub dated to 1954. Has anyone heard of this bicycle? Internet searches come up empty.

Reliance

I bought the identical bike in 1956 or 57 brand new for $46. It was expensive at the time. It was called an English Racer was 26" and a 3-speed. I bought it at our local Firestone Store (Webster, MA). The owner did not want to sell it too me because I was too young and did not have the mechanical experience to care for it. My Mom convince him I could handle it. It was the fastest bike in the area, and I had the road burns to prove it. I used it for 6-8 years. My Brother took it to UMASS in 1970 and used it for another 4 years. We wore out several sets of tires. It has been in storage since the 70's. I still have it and it is mostly complete except for the chrome air pump and rear seat bag. I last rode it about 25 years ago.

Anybody have more History on the Reliance?
