1982 schwinn super sport SP brake hoods

Hi,

I picked up a 1982 schwinn super sport SP and need new brake hoods.
Does anyone know what replacements would fit ?

Would cane creek fit ?

Appreciate any and all help.

Thank you

you might try basing your investigations on the brake levers themselves versus the bike. otherwise, if they're dia compe, then probably the cane creek will. there's other brands, though. in fact, there's a thread going on right covering those varieties

Cool bike- and it's got the original racks!!!

I'd try the Cane Creeks... there's worse ways of spending $10.

Thank you

Brakes are dia comp

I'll order the cane creek's!!!

There are 2 different cane creek hoods for dia comp non aero
The difference is the size

Regular model
And the 144.7 model

Look exactly alike but the 144.7 are larger dimensions.

Does anyone know which size is correct ?

Thanks again for all the responses.

The bolt to the saddle is frozen...BUT the seat post is out !!!!!!

The bolt loosen a bit and the saddle can adjust forward or backward. I have soaked PB Blaster a few times.

Looks like the the screw at the end ( closest to the saddle underneath) is stuck.

I guess I will order the regular CC hoods.

Thanks again and safe cycling !!!
