Can I have a hood on my CLB brake lever?
Hey! I have started my first bike restoration project with a Peugeot Pantera. Most of the parts are in a really good condition, need repainting and some rust removal. I want to have a full vintage look for it, I have already bought a Brooks saddle and some nice leather handlebar tape.
I want to also buy a break lever hood in brown colour for my original CLB lever but as I am not much expereienced I want to ask if this is actually possible.
I believe you can not put the hood on every old lever, is that correct?
I can not post URL or photo yet as I am a newbie but for reference I have the: CLB Super Professionnel (slotted holes on front of lever; no holes on back of levers).
If this is not possible I might replace the whole lever.
Thanks for the help!

They can be found on Ebay from time to time. There is a set there, new old stock (NOS) right now (284048265583).

Yes, you can. But if you can't find the right away, don't replace them. Even without hoods they are really nice. I have a pair on my Jonkers Super weight weenie build and was pleasantly surprised by how the plastic bodies feel.
Have you got the CLB calipers as well?

The Nishiki ONP Pro that I bought last week came with nice CLB sidepulls and with CLB levers sporting Dia Compe hoods which weren't such a bad fit.
Sorry about the photo quality(!), I took this photo at night after running home 3 miles pushing two flat-tired bikes home from Goodwill.
So I'm guessing that current Cane Creek replacements might also fit ok.
