Anyone make a newer fancy seatpost in 26.2?

Would love to look at nicer, lighter options for my '87 Cilo. It currently has a fairly short, fluted, heavy seatpost and while I love the look of the fluted, I'd still like to explore options for something more modern like from Thomson or Ritchey, etc. Is 26.2 just too outdated? I haven't found a lot of options besides typical Kalloy plain jane posts.

I have a Velo Orange one mentioned by Oldairhead on an old Cinelli. It looks pretty good and has the same PITA adjustment issues as every other one-bolt post with serrations (inevitably, how I want to tilt my saddle is in between two "clicks"). EDIT: According to the Velo Orange site, it does not have serrations - so much for my memory. But it was a PITA to set up, as I found it harder than it should have been to get the tilt the way I wanted it. Naughty language was involved.

If I come across a old two-bolt 26.2mm Campy in reasonable shape for a reasonable price, I'll probably get it (I love me my old two-bolt Campy posts). In the meantime, the Velo Orange one gets the job done and looks less clunky than a Kalloy.

Unfortunately, it appeals the Velo Orange posts are currently sold out.

the Velo Orange seatpost looks like the Kalloy SP248 which is still available in limited sizing around the internet/ebay. Cut down to a standard road bike length gets a seatpost at 240g for fairly cheep

I'm thinking there must be some cool fluted French seatposts in that size, JPR, Stronglight or Simplex(?).

Might take an Ebay search to unearth a good one.

I recently had to do a bit of work just to find a zero-offset inexpensive 27.2 post in silver, used to be a lot more choices on fleabay.

Honestly I was hoping more something more modern like a Thomson Elite, or something from Ritchey, etc... The VO one is nice, but I like the look of the fluted one I've already got more I think.

Maybe i'll try to shed some weight by replaced the old Mavic G40 wheels with something more modern lol

To my knowledge nobody makes modern fluted seatposts. I may have to do a hard search of the dark webs to confirm.

I do like the black inlay fluted 3ttt or Miche posts look.

But, but, but, don't you need proper shim stock?
