New member and first time posting, apologies if this isn't the right place for my post!

Recently picked up an old Raleigh rigid mountain bike, trying to fix it up into a road bike, most of the job has been pretty straight forward! Until it came to the new stem and bars. I bought a 1" to 1-1/8" stem adapter but it's too big! Does anyone know what size I can get that's smaller than 1" I can't seem to find one! Thanks in advance!

First you need to determine what diameter you need. If .833'' here is one from a quick search for .833 stem adapter.

Maybe this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-SILVER-...-/321296124414
