There are worse. Running into a saguaro would only be slightly worse than running into a tree...maybe a little pokier but not too bad.
Teddy Bear chola on the other hand will leave a lasting impression.

Both are abundant around Tucson.
I learned mountain biking in Colorado and bushing past a limb or a bush is nothing on a single track. Tucson mountain biking requires much more precise train use.

Nothing recent, this from 2 years ago or so. Local cycling club members usually decorate a tree on the big rails-to-trails path. Don't think it happened this year but I haven't been over that way to check.

Winner, winner....those are some serious hazards, including the sun....I only need to worry about one.....sunburn....you have a trifecta!

Do you need to ride solid rubber tires in that terrain?

I haven’t found the cactus to be that much of a puncture problem when I ride down there. I’ve gotten flats from cactus here in Colorado but that’s prickly pear which has somewhat sharper needles. Goatheads here in Colorado are actually more of a problem. I got a flat from one in NOVEMBER!

No Tree for us this year, we concentrated on decorating the exterior of the house so this is the best I could do.

BTW, This makes for a great holiday..and much appreciated!

In this apartment of rather limited space, posing the bicycle in front of the tree would require a non-drive side shot. So of course I opted for behind the tree... Happy holidays!

Maybe not as classic/vintage as some of the above, but I just nearly finished building a NOS Y2K Kona Fire Mountain frame.

Got the Waterford 22 Series single speed out of the garage to ride this weekend. Already have 4 bikes in the house so I placed this one in front of the tree.

I took the Tommasini this morning out for a few spins around the block before resuming some house painting. Happy Holidays.
