Anyone ever buy decals from bicals.com?

https://bicals.com/home/
I ordered a decal set at the beginning of November and haven't received it yet nor have they responded to direct emails or submission via their contact form on their website. Did I get scammed?

I ordered some rim decals from them on Ebay on November 15th. He Shipped immediately, but gave no tracking number. I was wondering the same thing, but I received it a few days ago. It took like 7 weeks, but it arrived. Nice decals too.

Well that's somewhat reassuring, then. I've got no info that they've even shipped. Wish they'd just reply to an email...

I am gonna guess no, all is good in letter land. The pandemic has dramatically impacted mail and Xmas always loads up the mail services. With these two factors in mind and having had to wait between four an 16+ weeks (long and interesting story on the sixteen week journey) to arrive. Recently (two days ago) a decal set took a month to reach me. Usually, the travel time would not exceed ten days.

Well these finally arrived yesterday. Looks like they ship from Serbia. Apparently US government thought that was suspicious. 😂

I have been waiting about a month for mine from them on Ebay. Hope they get here at some point. Same with the Universal NOS brake hoods coming from Italy, I think they are being brought by someone swimming across the ocean...

I can’t speak specifically about this vendor but I have ordered a number of items from Italy via eBay and other than the shipping time I have had no problems. The tracking is usually worthless since I have had items that say a label has been made and it stays that way for 2 weeks and suddenly they are out for delivery. Shipping time for my stuff was as little as 5 business days and the longest was around 3 weeks.

My 2 Lira…

...I ordered a set for a Rossin from him, knowing they would take some time. But he was the only one offering this particular style.
I ordered them on Sep 6, 2021. I received them about the end of September, at which time I noticed there was only one chainstay decal.

I messaged him, got no reply, followed up a few days later, and got a message back that, because my chainstay was chromed on one side, I only needed one.
Which is fine, as far as it goes. But I have a frame that is not chromed anywhere on it. I explained this, included a photo, got a curt reply that the ebay picture shows only one chainstay decal, but he was sending me another.

Which is, again fine. It's all true, and the picture on ebay does show only one decal. Anyway, my project has been on hold ever since. I cleared over everything, but am still waiting on that chainstay decal. I'm hopeful, but am beginning to suspect it's not coming in the mail, because it's now October 22. The decals themselves are of good quality, niceley printed and cut, on a thin, 1mm vinyl, with application masking.

The guy is working out of Eastern Europe somewhere, so I guess the mail is slow for that reason. But it has been a little frustrating. If the extra decal arrives in the next few weeks, I'll update this. Except for this confusion, and his kind of ho hum attitude about resolving it, it's a good product. And I don't want to slam him over it. But now the rains have started, and I probably won't finish up that Rossin until Spring, when the warmer, drier weather returns.

So if you do order something, be prepared for a long delivery time frame. And look carefully at the ebay photo, or the set photo on his website. Do not presume that because you need two chainstay decals, that's what you will get, as did I.

I placed only one order some years back after stumbling on this vendor (maybe on eBay?). I got a quite nice Columbus SL tubing decal in an envelope. IIRC the shipping was a bit slow, and I think mine was ALSO inspected by US Customs (so Serbia is a hot suspect for illegal goods? Drugs? Who knew!). But I don't recall the wait was super-extended, certainly all things take longer since Covid19, except maybe BAD things!

Well, I took the plunge and ordered from them.

PP payment went through, deathly silence ever since, not even a confirmation email.
I contacted them through the form on their website and was refunded within minutes.
Again without any further communication.

A very weird outfit.

...FWIW, the stay decal I asked for and he said he would send never showed up either.
I can't finish painting that frame now until Spring, so I might follow up one more time on ebay.

But I'm not gonna be surprised if it never shows up. This guy is not much interested in idle chit chat.

Yeah, it's back to the drawing board for me too.

It's odd though, the guy has done plenty of sales through ebay in the last few months so it's not like he lost interest altogether.

I have bought rim decals from him, took about 2 months to arrive, can’t report on quality as I’m in Europe until next spring and they are waiting for me stateside.

The instantaneous refund makes me believe he never even bothered to ship mine.
The complete absence of any form of communication is just so weird to me.

COVID is No. 1 on-the-job killer of CBP officers, despite imminent vaccine mandate | Local news | tucson.com

The above article reads a bit slanted toward Border Patrol agents but the data indicates CBP as a whole that includes customs as well as air and marine agents. There is also a shortage of agents as well. Its a tough job with a huge increase of drugs coming into the country this year including mail. If there is evidence of contraband coming in from a particular country source, resources are applied as a focus or increased sampling. Customs not only monitors people coming in but also scans everything from envelopes to containers off ships and even commercial international passenger planes. Air and Marine Operations addresses private planes.

A bit of a follow up.....

Tried to contact the guy again, about four weeks ago because some of his stuff looks really good and I really want the KAS/Vitus set (and three others so in my eyes not a small order.)
His Ebay feedback showed that he was as least somewhat active so I wondered if maybe I caught him at a bad time last year or whatnot.

Asked if him if it was maybe possible to use a more reliable form of shipping with the possibility of tracking and all that good stuff. Which I stressed to him I would be happy to pay extra for. I just want his stuff to arrive.

Crickets........

I ordered a Columbus decal a few days ago. They sent a confirmation email. I went back to order a few more and they were sold out.
I will probably order more from them if this order is good and I think I want to get the poster they sell.

I was going to use velocals to get some trek decals made but they don't have the color I want. May try to make my own with a cricut machine.
