interesting that the rear wheel cover is "the primary wind cheater".
Hard to justify adding another couple of pounds for that front fairing, then.
Wasn't it just a few years later that clip-on aero bar extensions were developed? Those probably killed the front fairing for good.
To Mr. Howard's credit, though, the changes on this bike were likely much more effective than the changes to make the bike parts aerodynamic.
