Want something different...almost had a Graham Weigh last year, but there was some confusion about the provenance.
There's a Soviet Union-built bike I want in England right now...does that count?

If you don't have any yet then any will be different.

Get the ball rolling with an earlier Raleigh Pro for at least a placeholder and something "cooler" will undoubtedly follow.
Not that it gets a lot "cooler" IMO.

Case in point,
. My beloved 1974 Raleigh Professional, Original and Superb

No such luck. Someone bought it. Also did not get to travel there.
Beautiful bike, but Raleighs and Dawes don't speak to me. We shall see though.

It only half counts if you go and pick it up in person.

Bought as a frame-set w/ original headset from a seller near Pau, France. Interesting, because T.D.F. always goes through Pau. Re-sprayed a cobalt blue and given an 8-speed configuration. It is my main ride right now, and I use it daily. Super Champion rims on B.H. Eurekas.

I've paid between $200 and $1200 for Pro frames and completes so they can be had without breaking the bank with a little luck.
That would be me, unfortunately it was damaged in shipping and I was so upset that it has been languishing ever since, need to get back on it and see if the guy I took it to will still fix it.
Been quite awhile so....

Rear wheel was cluster side in with insufficient packing.

Sorry to be heretical, but I've owned three Raleigh Pros from different years and found none of them particularly good riders (and subsequently sold them off). They were all a bit too twitchy handling wise, probably because of the fairly steep frame angles compared to what I normally ride (including the Raleigh Int'l). Too each his/her/their own, I suppose.

Help to identify 1950's - 1960's Raleigh? Childs Bike
Hi,
Cleaning out Dad's garage, I found my 1st bike, given to me in about 1965, it was 2nd hand then.
I am planning to restore it, so would like to find out the manufacturer, possibly one of the Raleigh heritage brands.
I will then need to locate a few parts, so some guidance on the best places to look would be very much appreciated.
This is my first post and just found I can't post photos yet.
The serial number is T3752
Tyre size is 12 1/2" x 2 1/4"
It has the vertical pull front brake mechanism which I have seen on Phillips and Rudge models.

I have an early 50's Hetchins. Let's see if I can add pictures. I don't have an accepted file type. I have no idea what that means. Any help would be appreciated
