Changing Rear Skiptooth Sprocket Size
Hi guys! I recently purchased a new set of wheels for my prewar ballooner bike, but I made a mistake in reading the rear sprocket size; The original rear sprocket was a 10-tooth, and the new one is pretty much identical (same brand) except it has an 11-tooth. Will this effect anything? Will I have to change chain size or anything like that? (Thanks for any help in advance).

Hmm, you might need to add one link to the chain?
Was hoping this topic led to sources for 1" pitch sprockets. I have a 6 and a 9 for my track bike, starting to think I'd like something in between.

Depending on where the wheel sat in the drop out with the 10 tooth there is likely enough adjustment to accommodate the 11 tooth with the existing chain length.

Th
Reducing the gearing that way will make it more difficult to keep up in the peloton.
