Nike Touring cleatless shoes 1984-?

Anyone know anything about these shoes. I have the Velos, but have not seen any of the others. Almost all the Velos have disappeared because of the suede. The first Avocets were suede, and you do not see them around either. I can see the looks like you can angle the pedal grip on the SC-E. How many of the others have this?

the first: Velo 1984
Looks like a blue color in the pic from the link in post #4

those 80s Nike touring sneakers are super duper rare. i bought a used pair on eBay identical to the first photo you posted, back in 2007-ish. they were too small and didn't fit, but I bought them (and paid too much) in the desperate hope that I could "make them work". I sold them along soon after at a loss.

they were a really cool concept and being a sneakerhead, the idea of Nike bike shoes really appealed to me. i even converted a pair of Nike SB Dunks into SPD shoes around that same time period.

I had the VT-X shoes from the last picture. They had waffle "cleats" that you would velcro into on of several positions to get the correct fit. They were padded along hte top of the foot where straps might dig in. Very comfy shoes.

I've bypassed a few shoe reviews in Bicycling thinking to post them later.
I'll see if 1984 had one for touring shoes and post it separately from this thread, but edit this post with the link.

Jackpot!
