need info on vintage headlight

I recently repainted a switched Miller headlight from the 50s. Unfortunately I cant seem to figure out how to reassemble the low/high beam switch. I have the plastic knob for the outside and the spring and small cotter pin for the inside but cant see how turning this switch will contact the two bulb bases. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Am I missing a part here? Doesnt seem I have permission to attch pics yet.

Here is a pic of the headlight shell and knob components. When the knob is turned it should contact either the upper or lower bulb plates. All I have is the knob, spring and cotter pin. Am I missing something? Does anyone have an old switched headlight that can show me how this is setup? Thanks

Cool switch. I thought it was German (BMW /5 model key) at first glance but I found this Dutch lamp and webpage that bears some resemblance, both inside and out.
Unfortunately, I think you're missing parts on the inside. Have a look at their website and you'll see other vintage euro lamps. They may be helpful identifying yours.

Thanks I will check it out. Looks like the knob may just lift the bottom plate so it touches the top plate.
