Bike Website Errors - is it just me?
Just checking if this is only me or more universal: in the following post Big Block posted a number of links: for me the links to velobase, classicrendevous, and classiccycleus all resulted in a series of SSL/security errors on Firefox. The others were fine. Could someone let me know if this is solely a local issue on my machine or is this a wider spread problem?

I think it's a Canadian Firefox issue. I use Epic browser with proxy to get to these pages, although sometimes I can get through. I haven't been able to fix permissions to allow velobase.

If you tweak the start of the URL from https to http, it often helps get through to sites with security or certificate issues - your session is no longer encrypted, but this should be tolerable risk when browsing on known/trusted sites

Those links work fine for me, a long-time Firefox user. But I have trusted those sites long ago.
I do like browsers warning me when I try to connect to new sites with less-than-optimal security. I also like to be able to mark sites as "trusted" and not be bothered again without reason. So far, Firefox does a pretty good job, IMO.

Thanks all: to be clear this isn't one of those "the site you are going to is insecure" messages that you can click through. I got three different errors (one on each site) and they had to do with connection resets, certificate too long, and one other error I can't recall.
And yes I am aware of removing the S in httpS to avoid certs; however these sites should work so I was simply trying to do debug step #1 which was to ensure others were or were not having the issue.
nlerner Think I will go back to Mosaic.....

It's the web starting to be self aware. Pretty soon the Di2 components will start to turn on us.
