Wolfpack tires
Just bought a set of Wolfpack tires from the US rep, 24mm width.
Clinchers since there are no tubulars available thru them. Does anyone here have experience with this tire? Might try the tubulars even if I have to order from the EU site and pay shipping. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...243a8b594d.png |

:foo: dost they exhibit lupine treads? ----- |
I've been interested in these too.
https://wolfpackna.com/ Pretty impressive pedigree... From the engineer behind Continental's Chili Compound, Specialized's Gripton, and Schwalbe's Addix.... The cotton version is invitingly cheap at $29.99, but these are the version that had issues with the tread compound separating from the casing. I don't think they make these anymore.... https://road.cc/content/review/wolfp...n-tyres-272715 The nylon version gets pretty solid reviews. https://roadbikeaction.com/first-rid...ck-race-tires/ |
having yet to receive a pair -
and nary a close pic of the paws - let me say, even if lupine here's hoping the ride is sublime. In 24mm with the tan(?) sidewall, it is likely heading for the in-process international Bianchi. German tires on French hubs+rims. Swiss brakes/levers. Italian frame running Mavic drivetrain. I ordered for 3 reasons: 1. $70 clincher on Sale for $30 w/ free ship from USA. 2. New tire to try - generally, I like a cotton casing - for bit smoother feel? 3. Promising a more cut resistant tire. 3b.New wheelset coming that deserves a unique high-end tire. Promise to report back. edit: just read Rocket-Sauce - oh well. At least it will be a relatively low mileage tire. I rotate in Summer thru a whole bunch of bikes. |
Very much looking forward to hearing how they work out.
From what I have read/heard, and based on the text in the cotton tire's description... it sounds like the issues with tread separation are temperature related? So don't leave them in the car on a hot day! :thumb: |
The Wolf is always at the door.
There was another "new" tire brand to come, been a while, have not seen any yet. so who knows with the supply chain stress presently. That One image looks interesting. Upon a second thought, how long are the valve stems? That is a deep section rim... did not see a comment in the description. I now need more rims before new tires. |

Or even on a typically sunny high-70's day in summer. I'll be careful in July&Aug. :thumb: And I will report back. Wheels, tires, latex tubes arriving next month then a touch 'o sealant and go. Also hoping the sidewall color is more white than tan! |
Does this now mean you ride like Deceuninck Quick-Step?
