No model name Brooks saddle

First, I know there are some recent Brooks threads but none seem to match this issue.

I've had this saddle (must have been used when I got it), I don't know how long and just noticed the other day that it bears no model name or numbers.

The rear plate is very worn, more so than the leather which is actually nice and thick

No name on side or model numbers on side and nowhere does it say "Brooks" beyond that plate on rear. Actual frame is stamped "Made in England" but that's it.

Could it be a home made rebuild or does anyone recognize a model??

On side panel there is no name or model number

Nose rivets look really roughly stamped

Rearplate far more worn than leather

No marks on leather, only stamping is "Made in England"

I'd wager it's a Colt. The shape is slightly higher and shorter than most other Brooks. The stamp likely wore off.

Judging by the darkening on the nameplate, has this saddle been re-dyed?

My first impression was a Colt as well based on the nose.

+1. I purchased a vintage Colt last year, and it had the same nameplate with "Brooks" in modern lettering. The shape looks about right.

Agree with the Colt crowd here.

Those rivets are claimed to be "hand hammered" according to Brooks, I have seen that in description's in the past.

Nose rivets look really roughly stamped
