And how is the copper wire secured at the ends? I'd be tempted to get out the soldering iron, but the leather tape might not handle it well.
I'll also note that I've got a beloved TA bar cage on the original 38cm wide bars on my Raleigh International, along with an Avocet computer. That doesn't leave much space for the hands on the top of the bars. With two strap-on headlights too.. well, that's extremely cozy!

I'm gonna guess... 24 ga copper wire that is used to secure the tape?

The bars would get snug if I left those lights on there all of the time, but they remove easily.

I know if I tried this I'd bang my phone on a water bottle and then run over it.

Few entries from today's ride (never tried this picture angle before). Gotta figure out the distance focus!
Handlebars are a bit busy. Left the extra water bottle holders on there for now as I'm too lazy to un-velcro. Or maybe I'm making a wind fairing for extra aerodynamics (https://www.renehersecycles.com/aero...ando-vs-racer/).

I went down to the St. Louis area on Sunday. There are some fun & scenic hills west of there, including Babler Park, Rockwoods Reservation, and Greensfelder Park. My route went south from Babler, through these parks, and down to Eureka. From there, it takes Fox Creek road west & north. It parallels Interstate 64 for a short while, which provides a nice view of the hills. Really a lot of fun and a huge contrast to the open fields of central Illinois!

Pikes Peak in the Background, interesting timing since I'm riding by Longs Peak Overlook (Longs Peak is to the north, so behind me)
