1988 A.C.S 6 speed hubs?

I'm going through my wheel pile, and pulled out a 6 speed wheelset with 1988 dated A.C.S hubs. They came on a 1989 Centurion Sports Deluxe. The rear rim has a flat spot and the axle is bent, so I'm guessing some one got boisterous. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with these hubs? The dust covers say sealed bearings and I'd like to confirm that they take a standard axle before pulling them apart. Thanks.

IIRC member bulgie has a good familiarity with American Cycle Systems, Inc. products...

if you do not receive satisfactory answer here you might wish to consider posting the question also to the BMX forum as most ACS products have a BMX application and there are sure to be experts on the company's product range there...

Thi is an entry level model, so the "sealed bearings" desingnation is almost certainly only a reference to to a rubber seal on the cone or dust cover. Also, sealed cartridge bearing hubs of the era rarely used a dust cap. If you want confirmation, post photos of the hubs.

I mainly know that brand from the 80s glory days of bmx. I wondered it it was a bmx hub, respaced for multispeed use.

Here some hub pictures. It looks like they have rubber dust shields providing the "seal".

Extra credit question: can anyone identify the ARAYA rims? I didn't notice the offset drillingthe first time around. Hopefully the "hop" is more of a bent axle effect than rim damage.
