Bike Museum South Shore Cyclery

I went to a bike shop today that is fairly close by, but not as close as others. I was surprised to find out there is a bicycle museum inside. The shop is South Shore Cyclery in Cudahy, WI. And there are a lot of vintage bikes, even a bone shaker and a couple high wheels. Here is a site about the collection:

They are packed together pretty tight, but it was fun to look around. If you are in the area you might want to check it out.

The owner is a dedicated collector and a nice guy. It's a real gem in an industrial area (Packard Ave, lots of manufacturing there).

I find the bike shop & museum much more interesting than the previous business at that site - Cudahy News & Hobby.

Just remove the "s" from the "https://" prefix and reload. This will negotiate an unencrypted connection. You won't be entering any credit card numbers or personal information to view the site, so there's no danger in using an unencrypted connection.

This year, I am seeing a lot of Schwinn Stingrays on the bike path. In fact, I've seen two yellow ones in the last two days, just like the ones in those photos - one had a springer front, the other did not. Even the springer front one was labeled Stingray. I thought Stingrays had conventional forks and the springers were Krates. It matters not.
