No. I signed up for Peacock. It's only like $5 a month. I'll just cancel it when the tour is over.

The woman with the sign that caused the first crash needs to get arrested.

Looked like a dips*** kid to me, hamming for the camera, and yes, should be consequences.

It was a damned kid wanted to say 'hello' to grandparents. At least one bike was destroyed - seatstays broke. There definitely should be consequences.

Peacock+ is free to Comcast and, I think, Cox 'net subscribers.

Yeah, a TON of injuries from light to heavy, including retirements. She had her arm well out into the roadway, keeping the sign rigid. The crash a little bit after that was pretty harrowing as well. Lotta nerves on the first day of the first week (plus road furniture and narrowing roads), but people like that make it a ton worse. Great final result and battle for the stage, thankfully.

I believe that she simply massively under-estimated the rider's speed, easy to do in the context of everyday flat-lands bicycle riders.

The "consequences" perhaps needs to be some kind of crowd-control patrol preceding the peloton.
Perhaps technology will bring something to prevent fans stepping into the rider's path(?), like a drone with a red-hot or lazer-powered branding iron or something like that.
