Altus Stem Shifters - Exploded View?

Cleaning up and old set of Shimano Altus Stem Shifters. Anybody got an official exploded view of them. This is the picture I took just in case I got in trouble as I occasionally do...

T-Mar to the rescue!

It looks complicated in the diagram, but it is not so bad. I like these shifter when paired with an Altus rear derailleur because the shift lever has an overshift built in that puts the derailleur to the right place once you release the lever. And the Altus derailleur, while kind of lower end, shifts pretty well.

zandoval are you using this shifter with bull horn handlebars?

Yes... Hope to. Putting together an ?80s Peugeot P6 for use on torn up pavement and dirt roads (gravel bike). Want to use Bull Horns cause they are easier on my back and I no longer use the drops (but still wish I could)...

Gonna use an Altus front derailleur on a compact crank 30-48 and looking for an appropriate long care rear derailleur... Fun Fun Fun...Ha

Thank You - T-Mar

One of the reasons that I asked is that I want to try bull horn handlebars since I am only on the drops infrequently. And I have also been riding more gravel, and when I do, I am never on the drops.

That Atus shifter seems to pair well with the Shimano Altus LT rear derailleur. Here is the link in Velobase:

Shimano Altus LT

I also looked it up on eBay and, I think the sellers of this item are gold digging. While I think it is a decent derailleur, it is not $50 and over good! This was a common derailleur on lower end decent brand bikes in the 80's./

Yep... Thing is having been nothing but a road bike rider in my younger days I just could not get my shoulders, grip, and balance to work with straight or different bars. The Bull Horn bars allow for better proprioception. I have even had trouble using Cafe bars. The Bull Horns allow me to have that same posture I had gripping my drops up top with my fingers ready to feather the brakes. The days are gone when I could raise my seat a little and slam my stem down for a fast ride...

II know it's five years old. It helped me get my set re-built properly :D
Found through bing-fu.
Posting these things is a treasure for those in need, indeed.
