Gianni Motta Personal
Several moths ago the opportunity to pick up a Gianni Motta frame set in need of restoration presented itself. Looks like it was entirely grey from new is my best guess. Sometime during its life it was treated, to what is in my opinion, is an interesting paint job. I will redo this exact scheme in two part single stage automotive paint.
Parts accumulated so far
crankset -super record
saddle -San Marcos Rolls
wheel set - Martano Tubulars laced to low flange Super record hubs.
bottom bracket - Campagnolo - not sure which I have😄
handle bars - Cinelli Pista
Stem- Cinelli
Bar tape - cotton ribbon
Shopping for remaining parts

Motta's came in lots of interesting paint schemes. Here's what I did to a plain white one (rusty with little paint left). It's a Personal 2000, but I copied this from a 2001 spotted in a catalog. As you can see, I like black & yellow too.

Beautiful paint. I’ve seen this paint scheme before and really like it.
