Odd shifter parts

Everyone has a box of weird parts that belong somewhere and probably all of us have shifters that are missing a washer or cam or something, at least everyone I know seems to have those.

I just bought some 6400 shifters (still in original box) but I also got a box with a set of loose pieces that should assemble to complete a 7 speed 6400 set and an 8 speed Dura Ace set.

In the box were two weird pieces I'd never seen before. They aren't 6400, I doubt they are a Dura Ace variation, any ideas? I get photos aren't best but should work for viewing. Can always re-photo if needed

This piece came with a shifter boss cover mounted on tight

Sorry hit enter too quick

If I saw this piece alone I'd not have thought it was connected to shifters in anyway. It does have that square hole though that the above piece could fit into - if it's supposed to fit in there??

They seem to fit together but those round bolts don't seem to be shifter bosses.

It's a shift lever mount for the nose of a tri-bar, to allow shifting while in the aero position. This one is from Profile, who called it the SwiftShift.

Edit: The round pieces at the end are the cable housing receptacles.

At least I thought the same thing if not typed it first. The actual pic is top job!

Thank you Mr. T!

Now that I know, I'll keep it them in my rainy day box.
