Dang! We were really looking forward to the ride but more than anything, I wanted to show a bike to learn more about it and check out other classics. After not being able to register for it, I just figured they’d reached the limit for Concours entries and cut off registration. I emailed several times but the only response I received was a marketing questionnaire regarding the website experience. We decided to put off the trip and cancelled our great lodging reservations and made other plans.
I whole heartedly agree with the Concours logic, so many cool bikes, so many like minded others, amazing. I went in 2017 and the Concours was awesome, many Merz fans and great discussions.

Well that sucks as do they, another member and I tried to find out about transferring his registration that he can't use, crickets to begin with then SOL email from them, I guess its good to be the king, how nice for them. We got numerous auto surveys with no info on several different queries, again, awesome customer service.

We had lots of back and forth emails about transferring my eldest son's registration to his younger brother. Finally received an email a couple days ago stating that they were just too busy to do it at this time, and it could be handled at the check in table. So we're going with that and hoping for the best. At the very least, we have the emails to show if there's any confusion.

Haven't posted here in a long while, and haven't ridden Erotica since 2016. But, looking forward to being there and seeing folks and some beautiful bikes. Have been battling a herniated disc, so will do the short route. Will probably ride the Cinelli, though tempted to ride Colnago, since they're a sponsor.....

That was the fix they planned for me last year to transfer my registration to another. I wrote a letter with my Myeroica info on it indicating my desire to transfer and the transferee was to present that letter to the registration table in Cambria. I wouldn't expect any problem.

Thanks! She has a lot of visible scars when you get close, but a rose Cinelli is a grail bike for me. Took a long time to find one in my size! I rode the Colnago in L'Eroica Brittania, so I think that it's the Cinelli's turn....

Question for Gugie: I see in the past that you posted a photo of a group of cyclists next to an RV. Was this RV parked at Cambria? Where? I'm looking for a place to park my 24'er. All campgrounds are full.

2018 was the last Paso Robles start. That year it was located in the fairgrounds, which had a small RV parking section. We were literally 50 yards from the start, which was very convenient, especially for the pre-dinner beer and bull fest.

BTW, as you likely observed in 2016.most of the bikes at Eroica have some battle scars. Heck, the blue Cinelli I will bring if I can make it (still 50/50) is mostly battle scars. They are badges of honor. Show them with pride, as they are signs of a well-loved bike.

Rides during Eroica Weekend?
Very much looking forward to visiting Cambria again, and to the main ride(s) on Sunday May 1st. Are there any shop or club rides ala last fall's Fauxroica planned for the days leading up to that? The Nova Eroica is tempting but realistically doing two big climbing rides back to back is out of the question for me. The eroica website (which is still showing 2021 dates) mentions a "sunset ride" on Friday.

I have a question! Although I've recently finished putting together my '54 Carlton Super Python and thought to ride that (since I'm just doing the short route and the gearing should be good) I am tempted to ride my '79 Mercian Campionissimo as well.
I am wondering about appropriate attire, as I have a modern synthetic jersey from Mercian (the one available on their official website) and I would like to wear that if I do go with that bike. Is that alright, or do I need to wear something more old-fashioned to fit in with the crowd? I suppose the same question applies for my uncle whom I've invited along, and who I have only purchased shoes for... Otherwise most of his apparel is modern.
