And in truth I'd rather go up hills more easily than go down them faster, if a choice must be made.

+1 about thinking twice about using CLB's aluminum cased brake cables.
They are super squishy and easily takes away 1/3 or more of your braking power, compared to if you have regular steel cased brake cables.
