I might be a bigger fan of these ~1990'ish steel hybrids with lots of tire clearance than the old 26" rigid mtb's. This one isn't so cheap though.

Three vintage Eddy Merckx road bikes - all Campagnolo.

I'd prefer to sell this as a collection rather than break them up or part them out. All frames are 57-58 cm. All in excellent condition - no cracks or dings or corrosion. Will adapt to fit people in the 5' 10 to 6' 1" range. These bikes were all carefully built up by me over several years of searching for the frames and components. All are working with minty components and ready to ride.

1. Merckx TT bike Late 80's frame imported from Holland with last gen C Record components. The desirable version of the group that works beautifully. These are the Delta brakes that work, and the shifters that are extremely accurate and positive. 8-speed close ratio cluster. This frame was custom made in the Merckx factory in Belgium. Oh yes it's a "funny bike" with a 650 front wheel.

2. Merckx AX Titanium frame, updated carbon fork, Record 10-speed components. Frame was made in USA by Litespeed for Eddy - mid to late '90's. Many pros in the late '90's used these frames, repainted to match their team. Lance Armstrong to name one.

3. Merckx Team SC. This was the scandium frame used by Team Lotto Domo in 2002-3 TDF and won Paris Roubaix twice. Raw frames were welded in Italy and shipped to Merckx for paint and finishing. Original 1 1/8" full carbon fork, which must make this the first production bike to have one., or at least, very early. Also all Campangnolo Record 10-speed with the very rare Ergobrain computer, fully set up and was working.

Hi Frog, I wouldn't say an old hybrid has more tire clearance than an old MTB. I'd say the reverse would be more correct but i do think that a hybrid can fit fatter tires than an old road bike.

Yes sorry just worded poorly, lots of clearance but not as much as a vintage MTB Around 40-50mm on a 700c rim.
