rode and quite enjoyed a DiNucci designed Allez for awhile though it had an aluminum fork that had crazy shudder I couldn’t eliminate. Very fortunate and thankful to have a DiNucci built Strawberry now!

Is that weather report accurate? Maybe you mean that good bikes on the used market cost more than they used to. They aren't making any more vintage bikes. Finding a good XL frame specimen is always a toughie in any weather. Local flippers have been sniffing glue before they post their flips with *ahem* "pricing" as high as they are.

Julian Edwin’s custom frame made for me. Built using Super Vitus 983 tubing. 58cm seat tube, 56cm top tube (I’m 6’ with longer legs) Quality still shows and still a great bike to ride today. Vintage Garlatti from the sixties (probably). All original parts (except seat and pedals) cleaned up and in generally good condition. Was repainted at some point. Needs a bottom bracket cleanup, and new cables. Fun project for a town bike.

This is a might be getting seriously close to a good deal. Seller dropped from a relatively high $850.

Judging by the price drops the seller might take a bit less that asking.....

Based on the set up, (as well as sellers other ads) I'd guess seller harvested the group set and rebuilt with lesser parts.
I have no personal experience with Mike Barry or Mariposa other than to say I am aware of the company. I'd describe this a buying a Mariposa frame with "some parts".

No picture and no link but there is a Centurion Elite GT f/f available at the local vancouver coop for $50. Size I believe is 57cm or thereabouts.
If it were smaller I'd buy it myself.
It should be very similar the the Pro Tour but I believe the stays and maybe the fork aren't champion 2.
