There is a similar age City Express in another post with a similar for. Must have been a quality control issue with the HiTen forks
[QUOTE=gthomson;22420743]Is this front fork for real or is it truly bent? Nice having a Peugeot Mtn. bike but not sure about this one

Markk900 definitely worth keeping an eye on it because I can't imagine it will sell for that price with that fork ha ha. Can't wait for this snow to melt so we can get out for our ride!
Bianchi girl, that is a sweet find, wish it was here in Ontario.

If you're looking for a small Marinoni (47cm) I believe the author of veloweb.ca is selling two (one steel one titanium). I don't know the pricing as it's probably not my size and would have to pm him on facebook. I think he is on Vancouver Island.

This guy flips a lot of bikes. Seems like a nice fellow. He must have found a great deal on a boot closeout as he is flipping those now too.

There's a Youtube video on a guy that 'trained' his mind to ride one of these bikes but iirc, it took him 6 months or so. Crazy stuff.

Not many of these around, a Mariposa from 1983 for $1900 or $1500, minus the saddle and seat bag
Bummer about the photos, very hard to see any details...

Posted 27 minutes ago - a GO train ride from TO!!
Buy it and if you don't like the ride, switch out the Brooks for a cheapie and sell in Toronto!
While the rear and front wheels do not match, I suspect the front derailleur position (see last photo) might cause some issues

Alas this Merz is in the interior of BC, a long long long way away from Vancouver. I could have sworn it said $300 when I first looked but now it says $500.

Another missed opportunity. I had written Kijiji off a few years back when I discovered FB marketplace because I found the adds were outdated, over priced and not as good a system as FB but have gone back to checking them out because there are some good sales. This morning I saw a post from someone in Brampton selling a collection of vintage bike frames, including a 70's celeste Bianchi, a Miele, a Fuji and many others and asking $15/frame!!!! I added it to my favourites but alas, a few hours later the post was gone.
Is there any way to see if a Kijiji post has been sold?
There must be someone in the vintage GTA market who is buying up a lot of stuff because I saw another add on FB with some guy selling 2 big bins of random older bike parts, some forks, wheels and a frame or 2 for $150/lot. Good price for sure and it was gone within the hour.

With Kijiji (like Craigslist) items are only removed when either a certain amount of time has expired (I think 55 days for Kijiji) or seller deletes ad. What I think happened was someone saw the ad, called in and bought all the frames at once and seller deleted. I know of no way to track what happened to an ad beyond checking you search history and clicking the link. Even then you'll only see "the listing is not available anymore". Adding an ad to your favorites won't help preserve it.

I'm guessing that was what happened at those prices. Someone came in a bought them all. Speaking of good prices, found this one earlier today which I can't imagine will last long at this price. Guessing this would have been an entry level Miele bike.
