It’s been awhile so here’s an update. I decided the porteur bars came back to much with the bar ends, so swapped out for some drops and now just flat bars. I’m running the bar ends as thumbies now with micro shift adapters. Tektro levers. I like those better than weinmann/dia-compe city levers.

Seat was upgraded to a Brooks C17. Upgraded derailleurs, too, although I should probably find a Deore front just to match them.

And I polished the crankset.

Very nice. I have a 640 that's all original except I replaced the uncomfortable to me Cinelli stem and bars with a Nitto cockpit (tallux and 48cm noodle). Long-term I'm thinking of a 700c conversion and I'm wondering what tires you have on there - 35mm? 38? Would love to fit 38s if I can.

Since I got mine bare frame I’ve just kind of done whatever I felt like. So I’m running 700s, and 38s fit, but just barely. I ended up running a 35 in the rear and a 38 up front.

tires are paselas
