Auto Shift tune up advice
i have landrider with auto shift, and need advice on how to get it to shift from small cog on rear to largest cog when slowing down.
i believe it would be like a regular derailleur initial setup before adjusting cables, as this auto shift has no cables.
i can go from largest rear cog easy pedal to smaller harder pedal with no difficulty, its going from small to large where i cant seem to get it.
as rear wheel spins faster, the flywheels naturally spread more apart, but when going from small cog to largest cog flywheel weights still stay spread out.does this mean spring adjustment is out of whack?
any advice welcome.
thanks
john
wondering if i should get the jockey wheel adjusted first, then proceed to indexing, or is there some other better procedure to follow.
thanks

1. It's not how hard you're pedaling, it's how fast the wheel is spinning.
2. Yes, the flywheel weights should spring in when the wheel is slow or stopped.
3. That bike is notoriously hard to work on - don't get your hopes up.

thanks Diablo for reply.
agree it is a challenge, worked great until i decided to take it off and clean it after years of dirt and grease.
nothing seems to be broken, and the parallelogram springs look good.
not sure if spring should be in tension when weights move back in.
i can manually move them together without any problem
i am sure it is a matter of tweaking adjustments of the 3-4 screws. believe it is hanging correct.
there are no cables to adjust, which i think is good

follow up to my landrider thread.
fixed it!
there is a tension spring underneath the red AUTOSHIFT logo, cant see it from front.
took the derailleur off ,poked and probed, found tension spring had come off of bolt, not broken.
had to relax spring, move AUTOSHIFT bolt loser to it, and passed it over in place.
BINGO!
tension returned so that it will now shift back up to largest cog when slowing down.
trying to upload pics but have apple mac os,fiLE estension HEIC,SAFARI BROWSER.PERHAPS I WILL try different browser.
