I’m guessing the for Tange fork isn’t original.

Viscount/Lambert, repainted and with replacement fork. Those are nice riding frames. Check the bottom bracket spindle; if it's not tapered, you'll want to replace it.

looks like the spindle has taper so a (sensible) replacement was made. The fork clearly is one (and not "deadly", so that's also good). The one thing not improved is the pinch bolt collars which can be sheared of if you go at them too hard so be careful with that. The plain gauge (but thin-walled) cro-mo tubing gives them a nice lively ride, can be slightly "whippy" for some folks.

I disagree. A spindle with a tapered square section has uncut portions of the ends that show a taper themselves; these show parallel edges to those sections.

Shoot, I dunno. Just eyeballing it.
What does the owner say sloar ?
Can you fit a conventional crank on the spindle (Ital/Brit/ISO/FR) or can you only fit the dreaded Viscount crankset (TA copy) with sub-par no-taper square bore?
