Raleigh Superbe
Picked up a Superbe last week. Going through the bearings and 3 speed for a clean and re-lube. It has a working Dynohub. I've taken the bearings out and the inside needs a good cleaning and some rust removal. Fortunately I read up on it and have come across the dangers of removing the armature without a "keeper ring" for the magnet. Any parts sources for these other than eBay? One of the shell screws was stripped. Not much on keeper rings either. I wonder if it's one of those legendary special service tools.

I picked up a reproduction keeper ring at the Lake Pepin 3-Speed Tour several years ago. I've successfully used it to overhaul several Dynohubs. The link to their "Gentleman Cyclist" accessories page is broken now, but I did find this page offering to make more reproduction rings:

Old postings for sure. It gave me an idea to have one made. I'll find out what the machinist charges.

Maybe ask here for the SA hub you need. There's been a slew of excellent serviced hubs in the Sales thread, great value, and there's many more good dyno hubs out there. Post a WTB. Or get the tool. I could use one too. :innocent:

@SirMike1983 could probably get you headed in the right direction.

What parts are you looking for in particular? Is it one of the thin screws that holds the dynamo portion, or am I misunderstanding? I have several really nice old dynohubs for sale if you are looking for a whole, already re-built hub, and I have a bunch of parts kicking around as well, but the parts vary somewhat by model and year.

SirMike I have a 1974 stamped Dynohub, I believe it to be a GH6. Yes one of the thin screws for the shell with the offset indexing head was stripped. I could probably use 2 and have one for a spare.
