The option now are those:
1- restore keep it original , polishing and apply the clear coat.
2-fully restore with a special paint job (i was thinking to mimic the Klein white base with 3 primary color splatter , called "graffiti" or another different and nice paint job. Keep the parts and the functionality of the bike.
2- new paint job and upgrade with some modern parts.
3- gravel drop bar with 1x setup (probably plus new paint job).
4- original paint job + clear coat and then a full tracklocross setup with flipflop hub.
The bike is still traveling , probably the postal service will delivery to my home tomorrow. But i can't stop thinking to play with it.

Doesn't take much to create a badass Roadhopper

Lots of nice stuff here! I'm looking for a similar bike locally so I can build up another winter ride. I hate riding inside in the winter.

Here's my Rockhopper, I think 1995? Didn't need a thing. $75 locally with a 4-bike Thule hitch rack included.

Thanks! There is one small scratch on the top tube, otherwise not a mark. I believe it came with twist grip shifting, but someone replaced with indexed Shimano thumb and trigger shifters. I don't think it was ridden much at all.

The original stem made the reach too much for me, so we replaced it.

It's marked Profile Design. My local bike shop, Rock on Wheels, had trouble finding something that would work.

Omg, I just wish this one was bigger. It now has a new home and a very happy builder.

I must have priced it well, it was a mad dash of replies to the add, every reply said I want to buy -today-. The buyer tells me that it is a 1986, could be I don't know the "S" that well. In fact the buyer rode his bike over with a friend, and they hauled it away on their backs and biked away, Saturday night. I told him that I would hold it for a better time, nope he had to have and have it now.

I'm sure it was a ton of work and money but it does look FREAKIN awesome. When you can take an old bike and make it look better than anything currently available - KA-BAM!!!

Would like to do this with my 1999 Peugeot Mtn, Bike
