Brake pads

Hello all,
I have a Raleigh Superbe Dawn Tourist made in 1948. I am just starting to seek parts to replace old and worn parts. Now I need brake pads ( I think in the UK they are called something else. This bike has rod brakes. Your help would be most welcome.

I'm not a rod brake expert, but Kool Stop makes these.

+1

KoolStop makes excellent products, perhaps the best rim brake pads you can get. If they are available locally I highly recommend them. (I’m highly biased since the company is local to me but I doubt you’ll get disagreement from others)

+1 on Kool Stop. If they make a pad that will fit your brake, get it and use it. In my experience, nobody makes a better brake pad and most aren't as good.

Kool Stop is a good choice, as is Fibrax Science..

Off topic: KoolStop also makes a really nice tire jack to simplify installation of tightly-fitting tires without puncturing your innertubes.

True that. I have two. One is in my repair stand tool holder, the other sits in my back jersey pocket on rides. Not needed for Conti 5000s on Open Pro rims. Essential with Conti 5000s on Weinmann Gentleman rims. Whether yo nee diot or not for a given tire/rim combo, it's cheap and light insurance.
