Showed this map to my Italian friend. She commutes on a Schwinn LeTour. She said she would love to buy an Italian road bike, if they weren't so expensive. I think this map may help her find something affordable from a more obscure marque!

My map arrived today, shipped from Italy. The item is folded, quality is fair but it is not art. Still it is suitable for framing and I will do so. I feel that it is worth the money for it's uniqueness.

I have a couple of wool Belgian-esque caps made by Denti; the ladybug logo is a little patch stitched on where the brim joins the crown.

Yeah sweet, I got this jersey last year and it has a small Denti badge on the shoulder. I didn't even know it was a Denti jersey until I got it as the seller's description just said 'teeth'. (Denti is teeth in Italian, I believe.)

Went to order one of the maps this AM, listing is gone and a search at eBay turns up no new listing.

It apparently was a limited and numbered printing. He is on Instagram at #derosaclassic, Andrea Bonfanti. Perhaps you could inquire if there will be any more available.

Thanks, did a search, found that but it seems I'd need to start an Instagram account to contact him. Pass.

Just freshened up the master bedroom, new paint etc., noticed one wall looked bare and my wife did not object to the map. Too late. I'll keep an eye out for some other picture to put there.

Folded as in a brochure, not randomly folded to fit into an envelope.

Mine came as I'm sure yours did, nicely packaged in an envelope along with a letter of appreciation. I left him a good review!

I would have paid more to have it rolled up.

probably scored and folded at the press so if you could get one rolled and tubed it would have to be from the printer before it got "finished" by post-press or bindery

Trivia question (aren't they ALL?) for those who have a map at full-size with clear printing (I can only view the low-res .jpg):
I have long been curious to know more about a PAINTER who did work on numerous brands and SEEMED to be located in proximity to these brands in the greater Milan region (but I'm guessing this):

Carlo Dosenno
(who writes it "Varnish by Dosenno Carlo" inda style)

Can anybody find his name/logo on this map anywhere?

The problem was a traditional frame would obscure one side of the double sided print.

The solution was to put the print in between two sheets of Perspex bolted together at the corners:

Still need to install a cable for hanging.

Carlo Dossena's shop was located in the Seguro neighborhood of Settimo Milanese. The business is actually still in the same neighborhood (Via Curtatone, 5, 20019 Settimo Milanese (MI)), even though Carlo is probably retired by now (being 76 years old). The business is now run by Laura Dossena, who I assume is his daughter - VERNICIATURA DOCAR | Verniciatura professionale telai bici.

Carlo started out as a painter for Alfa Romeo in 1961 and struck out on his own in the 80s, painting bikes. If you look through comments on Italian bike forums, you'll find he was a well regarded painter, with prices that were generally on the higher end of the spectrum (apparently in the same range as Pelizzoli). He also did resprays for a number of racing teams back in the day.

Great sleuthing (again, of course!) and THANKS for filling in this blank spot for me, Mr. Moss!
And I apologize for misspelling his surname: Dossena, it is!

So...what's the reverse side look like?
Is that where the South of Italy (and Sicily, Sardinia) is shown, with a handful of bicycle firms?

It’s just the list of brands in alphabetical order with their product type (tyres, frames, etc)

Apparently bikes didn’t exist south of Prato.
