Rossin Identification
 

I recently purchased this Rossin Frankenbike from a charity shop and was wondering if any one could please help me identify it? While the decals are Rossin the pantographs aren't typical from my forum and Internet searches. The back dropouts are Campagnolo, and although I haven't opened up the headset to identify the chrome forks, they seem of good quality. The BB and shifters are Campy, but eveything else is an assortment of components. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping the rusting hasn't gone too far and I can resort it partially to it's former glory. However, the chain stays appear to have orginally been chrome, and then painted black to hide the rust. Time will tell... Thanks

Realizing I can't post photos as I'm a Newbie. Hmm. The pantographs look like a Trillium flower (tri-point) on the side of the head tub lugs, and there's also a Trillium Bottom Bracket shell cutout.

Update - I'm thinking these Trilliums are 'T's for Tommasini. Would they have built frames for Rossin or did someone re-decal the bike? Thanks.

If it is adorned by a tri point T, it is certainly not Rossin. They might have contracted some frames out possibly, but they wouldn't have contracted a Tommassini! Any pantogrph on the fork? If a Tommassini, you didn't lose on the deal if you are restoring it anyhow!

...it does not look like much of the frame detailing is a Rossin to me. People do odd things sometimes when they repaint and re-sticker a bicycle.
Rossin was pretty consistent with using the "R" as an identifying mark. He even had to change it a little after some dustup over the earliest version of the "R".

Tommasini racing bike on e-bay

Definitely a Tommasini, not the fork, though.

The subject bicycle appears to be a Tommasini Super Prestige, circa 1985, with replacement forks and incorrect decals.

Fork almost reminds me a chromed French fork...like a Peugeot from Vitus or something.

If the fork fits and is a decent tubed one, no harm in having that...and almost impossible to get a true replacement anyhow

i would check the down and top tubes for buckling begin the head tube lugs, or gaps in the brazing that could indicate a collision.

Other than that, you could strip the Rossin stickers, then paint and restore an iconic bike!

PS, that’s a weird seat tube clamp bolt.
