WOW that list grew fast...
I will have to keep an eye on timing, as I am so far down I may have to bow out until after summer.

My approach is to remove the borked stuff and replace with non-borked stuff.

I'm still pissed at that lol, I put some really good NOS parts in that box that no one had a chance to use.

Old timers here may remember mtnbke doing the same. The guy was weird, seemingly wanting to argue about anything, anywhere - extremely long posts slamming various members. He got on the BOC list just ahead of me, received the box then disappeared. DD was getting tired of herding cats, I was fresh meat, so I decided to start a new box.

The Box o' Crap game is a crapshoot.

I had fun with this game and got/gave some good loot, but both times I participated, there was a period of radio silence adjacent to me (either with the box on its way to me or after I sent it forward). Both times resolved without issue, but it was enough to convince me that my porch is cursed. Mildly cursed, but cursed nevertheless.

My niece is a collegiate athletic trainer. Her first job was at a small D1 school, where she said the most important thing she learned was to not get a job at a D1 school. The pressure to get athletes back in the game vs. caring for injuries was very frustrating for her. She left for D3 after only two years and has never been happier.

I have been waiting for the list to build a bit before throwing my name in, due to some upcoming obligations. With ten people ahead of me, I should be okay to add my name to the list, assuming regular movements. Thanks for taking over the duties of the new Crap Master.

Man, does that handle bring back (bad) memories.

I've been known to have my occasional grumpy moments on this forum, but that guy...

My undergrad alma mater did not have varsity sports teams. What division would that be in? Div. Y? We did have a fairly vibrant intramural scene. I was keen to do ultimate frisbee until I learned they held practices around 7 or 8 am. I was not an early riser in those days.

Is there a level of borkedness that is charming and nostalgic, before it becomes just plain borked?

Please, no borked stuff, folks. It's in the rules.

Last time I checked the rules stated that Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart would make the ruling. Failing that, we have a Crapmaster, who by definition is infallible.

So, @Mad Honk, I assume you have an existing BOC that will kick off this round? I'll PM you my address if so. Or if I'm starting from scratch (which I'm glad to do), let me know that.

All of the Crap-A-Teers,
I promised my self that the exalted Box 'O Crap would not move out of cold storage (or clod storage for noglider) until we had at least twelve members step up and volunteer to play. Sci guy you have been added to the list and we are now at twelve. So today I am going to open the Box O' Crap that remains from series eight. I will as per the rules take the mandatory reveal pictures and post them here. I doubt that I will have any takes but will do some clean up of the contents and remove "Borked" crap before sending it to nlerner.
The aluminum liner should still be intact and if needed I will make repairs to it. Because the old box is a bit beat up a new box shall be obtained and the BOC shall begins it's journey as BOC series nine. @nlerner this is the box as it has been for at least three months: Smiles, MH And let's play the game!

The Exalted Box O' Crap thawing out from the deep freeze it has been in.
