What’s going on with this fork rake?
 

Killing time browsing ads waiting for spring and found this Peugeot that I didn’t understand in a Facebook listing.

I looked a bit closer and saw it was a lugged frame and not something more modern that I am not up on. The fork seemed a bit raked out.

Wheelie machine, or somebody had some airtime and stuck the landing.

It's bent I think this bike was discussed recently

I'm pretty sure that is a ChroMo seat tube only and everything else is HiTen. Probably the best part is the SIS RD and shifter

Fork is bent from one too many 'pancake' landings

Ah, but the ad says “rides wonderfully”. Maybe interestingly is better.

I've post for bikes bent worse than this as "recently tuned up ready to ride"

They adjusted the saddle angle to compensate.

Somebody decided to one up Jan Heine and make it no trail.

Just add banana seat and some apehanger bars: instant classic French chopper :)

I remember home made choppers as a kid. Fork ends were chopped off of receiving bike. Fork arms were chopped off donor fork and hammered into receiving bike. Instant chopper. Even as a dumb kid, I stayed away from ever hopping on something like that.
