Somec Cyclocross or MTB?

No identifier about wheel sizes or spacing. What day you all about this?

I am going to say MTB. Rotate the image visually so that both front/rear dropouts are on same plane. Sloping top tube (granted SOMEC does do a lot of sloping bikes) and you can see what appears to be slacker geo. vs a CX racer.. Going off of the apparent size of the V brakes relative to location/distance on imaginary wheels, I feel like it's a 26". Also if it was a CX bike, I think SOMEC would have gone with road race DO,s and not ones with eyelets. And top route front and rear derailleur cable (probably most important distinction of all!).

Could be wrong though.

ETA- I just purchased another vintage SOMEC today.....................not this one though!

Ok, that’s what I thought too, but the seller calls it Cyclocross...could be translation issue.

it is tempting since it is likely a rarity.

If the price is right. That is one cool frame either way. If it was CX, I would be all over it.

Ok...after figuring out that there was an ebay formatting issue, the frame is 54cm/56cm ST/TT, so it most likely is a CX/gravel bike frame. It accepts 700c wheels according to the ad copy waaaaaaayyyyyy down the page.

$220 starting bid/$55 shipping. Too small for me. :bike2:

Since it is 54 and a 700c,I can’t justify it. 55 I might have jumped.
