Benotto Frame ID help
Hello,
I have a Benotto frame with Columbus Matrix tubes that I can't seem to ID. I found some similar ones online but the model wasn't mentioned anywhere. Can you guys help me with ID-ing this frame?

I’d say ‘85ish and later based on the dual bottle mounts and pump peg.
wasn’t there a spat between Columbus and trek over the Matrix name?

Yes, there was an infringement case between Trek and Columbus which Columbus lost. They renamed the Matrix tubing as Cromor to avoid further infringement on the Trek copyright.

I believe the dispute was in the early to mid 1980s.

With the mesh net fade paint and the through top tube brake cable routing I would put this at late labeled matrix tubing bike at 1987. It's a low end model.
If I recall correctly the Trek/Columbus-Matrix case was settled in 1986.
