Removing Pedal Caps - Nuovo Record Pedals

How is this done? It seems Campagnolo used to make a tool to do it but I don't see one for sale through normal retail sales channels (non-ebay).

I checked Park Tools but they do not have one.

If I just grab it with a pliers, I am sure to damage the exterior.

I'm as concerned with getting them back on properly, tightly as I am in getting them off.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

MKS pedal caps have the same pattern as Campagnolo. The tool is available on Amazon for $16. Well worth the price to have the correct tool.

Thank you for the help.

BTW, I also have the Sylvan pedals, so it will get used there, too.
