Looking at my photos and seeing few good shots of the seat cluster, I have to conclude that they just aren't the sexy part of the frame. Head lugs get all of the love (and chrome), the bottom bracket is the center of the frame in terms of strength and loads, and the seat cluster just gets hidden by the rider's legs.
Let's start with my sole Italian bike, the '82 Olmo Competition. The head lugs are Prugnat, so I assume this is part of that set? Nice cutout, and branded seatstay caps.

next, a '71 Raleigh International that I no longer own. The semi-wrap-over seat stays are not unusual for the period. The bike has Nervex Pro lugs, but everyone knows that. The Raleighs of that period were known to be inconsistent in terms of craftsmanship, to put it gently. This one seemed to be fine.

The '74 International has stays attached at the sides in a conventional style. Nothing unusual, beyond the use of the Nervex Pro lugs. The fact that I don't have a better photo indicates how conventional it is. The copper paint is a plus.

The 1982-ish Raleigh 753 Team bike might have the best craftsmanship of my bikes. I'm not a good judge, but the lugs do appear to have been thinned. The stays are terminated with the oversized flat caps that this series of bikes is known for. I should get some better photos of this.

The last of the group of vintage bikes is the Hetchins Magnum Opus. Crazy ornate lugs and the "fastback" stay attachment. It was built by Bob Jackson in 1987. I'm not sure how to judge the craftsmanship, but I haven't noticed any flaws.

Mark DiNucci was mentioned earlier. As such, I feel obliged to share a couple of shots of a frame that he had on display at the 2015 NAHBS in Louisville, KY. Not exactly sure how it was treated to ward off corrosion, but it was nice to see the brass and understand what usually is hidden by the paint.

From a guy who is generally not a fan of le French velos, I believe this has it all: curved and chromed top eye, nicely-finished lug (for a French frame), filled binder ears, and of course the cable guide for the soon-to-go-out-of-fashion centerpull brakes. And let's not forget the pearl white paint

Here is the seat lug treatment I did for a frame I made for myself in 1987. There is no binder bolt because I put in a mechanism similar to how a Cinelli IR stem works. I also exited the rear brake cable housing through the seat stay. There is a brass tubing running through the top tube. It was made out of Tange Prestige 7/4/7 tubing. It won the 2020 Shimano showcase at Interbike in 2000.
