Thanks for the advice

First I wanted to say thank you to all of y'all in the C&V forum for all the advice y'all have provided. Now I have a question. There's a nishiki modulus missing wheels and just a couple of parts on eBay. Final price would be somewhere around 1:50 to 200. There is also a Raleigh competition frame set only with a bottom bracket which would be about $250 if he accepted my offer. I am torn because I'm not that familiar with the Raleigh competition. Any advice would help. The Raleigh is gorgeous.

What year Competition? You looking to go stock on these bikes? Nishiki will be easier to rebuild.

Thanks for the tip about Nishiki being easier to rebuild. Had my first experience working on a Raleigh last week. Purchased a 1971 Super Course. None of my vintage parts fit. Had to buy Raleigh specific RD & FD to replace Simplex, which is crap.

Yes I do. I built up several old centurions, even have a 1977 Trek 710 from the Red Barn. I find the old vintage road bikes more comfortable than most new ones
