No, that picture was taken in Jamaica. When I got back to Canada, I bought a new pair of leather gloves and a good friend gave me an almost new pair of SPD shoes (he did not like to clip in at all). Sadly, those new leather gloves began to fail a few hundred kilometers after I started using them. You don't always get what you pay for!

Here's another vote for: "Aero Tech Gel Padded Leather Cotton Crochet Fingerless Cycling Gloves" Amazon 24 USD.
They fit my large hands and have extra padding at the wrist. I replace my gloves about every two years of ridding. They are a consumable item. Kinda like my chains. But that's another thread... Ha

I bought the crocheted gloves on Amazon that Bad Lag linked to above. I've had them laying around a while now and didn't use them until Sunday. At first I thought the fit was odd but once I hit the road I loved them. I even spent more time in the drops on my old bike with cotton tape.

I had a cheap pair of Push branded gloves... those lasted me a long time.
I've been riding the Planet Bike Taurus gloves for the past several years. They warranteed a pair because the stitching was hinky in the palm- just asked me to send a couple pix of the defect and sent me a new set of gloves.

My personal favorites:

I’ve also been really happy with these:

I did a PSA on them as they looked to be good stuff like PDW often has, and they seemed to be a bit more reasonable than some of their things.

I really wanted to love them, but I'm going to look elsewhere...

I had the Planet Bike gloves and liked them. They just didn't last as long as I'd like. I'd buy them again, if needed.
I have been using these for a while now and think they are superior to Planet Bike's glove. Certainly, they have outlasted the Planet Bike product. They cost $15.

Otherwise, they look and feel great, comfortable on the bars, no funny smells have developed, etc. Recommended.

Not a fan of leather cycling gloves, nor cotton. They hold the moisture, and smell terrible after drying. I like full fingered gloves with no, or minimal padding, that wick moisture and dry quickly. Synthetics fit that niche, and wear very well. I don't buy high dollar variety, as I sense no benefit from them. I do not have a specific brand, and I admit, I cheap out on gloves.

If the OP wanted all leather gloves, not necessarily crochet backed gloves....
I have a pair of these Lizard Skins but I don't have the correct fit. They run pretty tight. My XLs feel more like Ls -or even Mediums.
They *look* great -very similar to the Giros- and the leather is very soft:

PDW 1817, a bit spendy, northbend approved.
Really look the business from here.
Most everything from them is very good, lifetime warranty*.

Oh no. I have the same Giro gloves but mine are still holding up…hopefully for a little longer.
I searched a little bit and found this company in Germany that only makes retro bike gloves, full leather or knitted/leather. I have no idea how good these are. https://cicli-franconi.de
