Going off the extremely limited information provided, I'm gonna guess you've got a Maruishi Eagle waiting for you to take it for a spin.

Good Morning and welcome to the forums. We don’t see many Maruishi Eagles here so just a serial number doesn’t help us much.

Can you tell us a bit more about the bike? Is there a sticker anywhere that says what kind of steel it is made if? Manganese, Hi Tensile, 4130 ChroMoly? Are there names on any of the parts? Suntour? DiaCompe? Shimano?

Do you have any good pics? We have a safety feature that limits new members from posting pics and links but you should be able to create an album we can see.

Not the serial number, but a date code for year of frame manufacture. MCI7709.

MCI = Maruishi Cycle Industries Ltd
77 = 1977
09 = September

The serial number is probably on the head tube.
