Not saying I'm gonna do this for sure. But it fits easy. 38mm tire. No frame alterations needed.

Lousy fenderline I know.

My bare foot is there for scale!

You have more room at the chainstays than I would have thought. I had to crimp the stays on a Bianchi frame that I converted, Of course I am using 42 mm tires. Your brake reach is just enough, isn't it.

Big orange Nashbar pump: I have one as well and like it a lot.

Tektros 559 just reaches but they have huge stopping power even at the bottom of the reach.

Agree, that's what I put on my Bianchi conversion. I was impressed by how well they worked.

Just for the hell of trying it. 42s clear. A broken spoke would cause trouble but it ain't bad. And it rides like a real tight Lincoln.

More room than it looks like here. Probably 3 mm aside minimum.

Put 559's on there and I bet you can mount a 2" knobby tire. Gugie can put canti bosses on chrome, right?

I think the pedal strike issue might come into play. Plus, I don't have any 559s handy.

Got any 20" BMX wheels? Now there's a look that would help introduce classic and vintage bikes to Generation Z!
