Need spindle

Hi gang. I am in need of a replacement BB spindle for my Peugeot UO-8.
145 mm long, 55 mm between races, 48 mm long side, 43 mm short side.see photo. It would need to be usable with French cotter pins. See photo.
if anyone can help I’d appreciate it. It doesn’t need to be new, or perfect but I need the races to be smooth. I can buy it or trade for something.
thanks all!

The flats are wide enough to use any pin. The holes in the crank arms determine which size pin you need and which diameter axle you need. If you have french cranks the axle hole is nominally .610 and english axles are .625, but sometime an english axle will go into a french crank.

Those 145mm Peugeot spindles were pretty much the longest used for cottered cranks. There may be one in the old parts bin at our local co-op. I'd be happy to take a look, but I won't be able to do so until the end of next week.

Yeah I put an english(Raleigh) spindle in and it works if I use a Raleigh crank and pins, but if I use the Nervar the Uo-8 came with, the original pins go dang near all the way through the crank because the area on the Raleigh spindle are ground a little deeper. And of course english pins won’t fit a French crank.

bikerosity,
I found one at my co-op tonight that fits your specs, but the center to center for the ball races is a bit thinner. Lemme Know, MH

I’d be willing to try it. I have a little wiggle room. Let me know how much to mail it to New Jersey 08332, and price or if there’s something you need that I may have. Deenybeany@earthlink.net

bikerosity,
Cost should be $10 for Priority Mail. PM me the shipping details. Smiles, MH

bikerosity57 Sounds like you may have gotten one. I did check at my co-op today and was not able to find one.
